Tokyo Imperial Hotel (1)
The Orderliness of a Bygone Era 🌟 🍃🌸 Staying at the long-awaited Tokyo Imperial Hotel during my trip to Japan in May, I only truly appreciated the charm of its interior design, built in the 1970s, when I looked back at the photos. 🌿🌟 Its visual language is inherited from Wright's second Imperial Hotel but reinterpreted in a more Art Deco style. 🍃🌸The exterior features low eaves and tapered granite columns, still retaining Wright's technique of "compression followed by release." 🏰 🌿🌟Upon entering the first-floor lobby, the space opens up with a soaring ceiling. The main visual focus shifts to the blue carpet, wooden wall panels, and the vertical lines of the chair backs, which echo the carpet pattern. 🍃🌸 The overall material quality makes guests feel warmth and welcome. 🌿🌟The café's mosaic screen also uses wood and blue tones, creating a harmonious and unified color scheme. 🌿 #Tokyo 🌇#ImperialHotel 🏰#ArtDecoStyle 🌟
