Tokyo Imperial Palace Nijubashi Bridge (2)๐
๐ข๐The main stone bridge, also known as the "Spectacles Bridge," earned its name from its unique design featuring two stone arches. ๐ถ๏ธ The main iron bridge is located behind the stone bridge, at the position where the bridge was built under the Western Bailey of Edo Castle. ๐ฐ ๐ข๐Usually, the main gate is closed. It is only opened for special occasions such as the Emperor's enthronement ceremony, the grand funeral of the Emperor or important members of the Imperial Family, or when foreign dignitaries visit. Additionally, during New Year celebrations and the Emperor's birthday, the Imperial Palace is opened to the public, and visitors can walk across the Nijubashi Bridge. ๐ The Nijubashi Bridge is widely recognized as one of Japan's iconic landmarks and one of the best photo spots in Tokyo. ๐ข๐ From here, you can enjoy the view of the Imperial Palace, which still retains the charm of the Edo period, as well as the Fushimi Turret. You can also take memorable photos with the moat, shaded by weeping willows, as the backdrop. It exudes a strong sense of history and tranquility. ๐ธ ๐ข๐ #Tokyo ๐ ImperialPalace ๐ฟ
