Tokyo International Forum(2)
The building features large-scale glass curtain walls and steel frames, exuding a sense of lightness. ππΈ It not only allows natural light to fully penetrate the interior but also creates a transparent and open atmosphere, forming a stark contrast to traditional enclosed conference centers. πThe atrium, which is 60 meters high and 228 meters long and has a ship-like shape, forms a massive "indoor plaza." The vertically integrated space design makes one feel the grandeur and openness of the megastructure. The suspended, dynamic, and streamlined shapes symbolize Japan's maritime culture and spirit of innovation. ππΈ Additionally, the suspended bridges provide visitors with multidimensional perspectives, enhancing the dynamism of the spatial experience. The conference center area is also barrier-free for citizens and tourists, making the building truly a part of urban life. π ππΈThe canopy of the Yurakucho Station connected to the conference center is the world's largest independent glass structure (10.5m*5m). Even 28 years later, its creatively designed supporting shape remains avant-garde. π π #Tokyo #JapaneseDesign #TokyoArchitecture π
