๐The Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum is a unique art museum located in Tokyo, Japan. ๐ฟ The main building integrates ART-DECO style, traditional Japanese decorative elements, and the simplicity of Western modernism. The former owner of the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum, the former Asaka Palace, is Asaka Yasuhiko (October 20, 1887 - April 12, 1981). ๐ Asaka Yasuhiko is the grandson of Fushimi-no-miya Sadanaru, the eighth son of Kuni-no-miya Nagahito, and the uncle of Emperor Hirohito of the Showa era. He was granted the title of Asaka-no-miya by Emperor Meiji. ๐ ๐๐ Asaka Yasuhiko was a career military officer, which was rare among the Japanese Imperial family.
