Tokyo Shinjuku Must-Visit Spots 📝 Attractions + Shopping Districts
Shinjuku is my favorite place to hang out while studying in Japan! There are many worthwhile places nearby – 🔹 Isetan Department Store 📍 Address: 3-14-1 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo A very high-end and luxurious shopping mall~ The 1st floor features bags, accessories, skincare, and makeup. The 2nd to 4th floors offer women's clothing, shoes, and jewelry. There are luxury brands and famous local Japanese brands, with an excellent shopping experience!! The 5th floor's tableware, furniture, fragrances, and sundries can hold my attention for a long time! If you're looking for high-end souvenirs, this is the place to be. 🔹 LUMINEEST 📍 Address: 3-38-1 Shinjuku 3-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo Mainly focused on clothing and accessory stores, the style is more streetwear and casual, with prices that are affordable and accessible! It's within the budget of college students and recent graduates, a paradise for cost-performance ratio. 🔹 Keio Department Store 📍 Address: 1-1-4 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku-ku If you're looking to buy skincare or cosmetics for family members, head straight to Keio. They have every brand you could want, and you can finish your shopping in one go without running around. They have everything you need, and tax refunds are also very convenient~ 🔹 Kabukicho Shopping Street 📍 Address: Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo It can be said to be the symbol of Shinjuku. It's not far from Shinjuku Station~ The atmosphere is great when the neon lights come on at night~ The various signs on the street have dazzled me haha, there is a Tori no Oku pub nearby 🏮, it's great to have a drink with friends after a night out! This area is quite safe, full of people and various shops, but it's better not to enter these shops. 🔹 Godzilla Statue 📍 Address: Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo The Godzilla that roars on the hour is a网红in Shinjuku! You can see it from afar on the rooftop at the entrance of Kabukicho, and you can also stay at the Godzilla-themed hotel in Shinjuku and take lots of photos! 🔹 Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) 📍 Address: 1-2 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo A small alley near Shinjuku West Exit, a well-known spot to check in, every time when night falls, many office workers come here for a few drinks, the lively atmosphere of the small shops matches the deep alley, it's very atmospheric!! Great for taking photos~ 🔹 LOVE Landmark 📍 Address: 5-1 West Shinjuku 6-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo A very loving sculpture near West Shinjuku, it's a confession spot in Tokyo~ It has appeared in many advertisements and magazines, including "Densha Otoko" where the red LOVE landmark appears. 🔹 Shinjuku Gyoen 📍 Address: 11 Naitomachi, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo A huge Japanese garden in the city center, the shooting location for Shinkai Makoto's "The Garden of Words" is here.
