Tokyo Surroundings | Fun to Explore in Kibune!!
Kibune is a historically rich traditional town that perfectly preserves the atmosphere of Japan's Showa period 🎏. It is widely known for its quaint Edo-style charm, tranquil atmosphere, and the movie "Tora-san" (Otoko wa Tsurai yo)~ ➡️ When I went, there were very few people, almost no Chinese tourists, and only a few foreign faces occasionally. ~~ 🚇 Transportation: From central Tokyo: Take the JR Yamanote Line from Tokyo Station to Nippori Station ➡️ Transfer to the Keisei Electric Railway and take the Keisei Kinshicho Line to 【Kibune Station】 ➡️ The entire trip takes about 30-40 minutes. ~~ ⛩️ Itinerary: All walking distance!! ➡️ Morning: Kibune Station: As soon as you exit the station, you can see the most famous bronze statue of 【Tora-san】. Tora-san is the protagonist of the classic Japanese movie "Otoko wa Tsurai yo". This statue is a must-photo spot for tourists. ~~ Kibune Toy Museum: Walk forward from Kibune Station, and you'll find a cute house with a robot. The first floor has Japanese childhood snacks, and the second floor is the toy museum. Admission fee is 200 yen (buy tickets on the first floor~). ~~ Taishakuten Pilgrimage Path: Walk from Kibune Station to the Showa-style old street of Taishakuten, lined with old shops selling traditional food and souvenirs. ⭐️ Most recommended is the grass mochi (mochi made from mugwort)! 🍡 It's a specialty snack of Kibune, made from mugwort-flavored glutinous rice balls with a soft texture and sweet red bean filling. ~~ Kibune Taishakuten: Kibune Taishakuten is the landmark of the town, a temple dedicated to the Indian deity Taishakuten, known for its exquisite wood carving art, especially the reliefs on the temple's long corridor, which are highly ornamental. The garden surrounding the temple is peaceful and beautiful, perfect for a walk 🚶♀️ #Tokyo #LifeInTokyo #Kibune #TokyoSurroundings #TokyoTravel #JapanTravelGuide
