🌸 Tokyo Weekend: Arty and Chic Will Fall in Love with Kichijoji 🌸
Tokyo's working folks always ponder where to drive on weekends to make the most of their car. Here's a share for your reference. This week, I visited Kichijoji for a stroll and once again marveled at its magic. Whether you're into anime, artsy, a bit bourgeois, or just bored, you'll find joy here. With shops and sights, it's perfect for both leisurely wandering and touristy check-ins. A day isn't enough to explore everything! 🛍️ Shopping Kichijoji is all about aimless strolling, admiring the artistic shop fronts, and enjoying the experience of stepping into each store. 🪑 Furniture Stores: They have all kinds of styles, but prices are steep, truly Tokyo! I loved a small tea table at journal standard furniture, but it was too expensive for my budget. 🎨 Fantasy Street General Store: A general goods brand founded by artist Nishimura Noriko. It's hard not to be healed by the beautifully colored watercolors here, along with tapestries and jigsaw puzzles. 🛍️ Vintage Shops: Since coming to Japan, I've fallen in love with buying vintage items, not only for their affordability but also for the unique styles you can't find elsewhere. 🐾 Petit Cat Village: It's like a fairy tale, and with lights at night, it's even more atmospheric. The first floor is a cat café, and the second floor has a cute general store. 🛒 What I Bought 🧥 Rain Jacket: I've always wanted a rain jacket for camping, but rarely find good color combinations. I spotted a half-price Columbia jacket at a vintage shop in Kichijoji, seemed to be last year's model, so I grabbed it without hesitation. 🍵 Teacup: Saw this at a Southeast Asian furniture store, with a crackle glaze that looks beautiful and translucent in the sunlight. 🥿 Loafers: I only wear flat shoes to work, so I bought these red-brown Zara loafers with a soft insole for comfortable wear, unlike other models that are hard and uncomfortable for walking. 🧩 Nishimura Noriko Puzzle: This puzzle is a classic in Japan, with color coordination that's truly exceptional, harmonious yet rich. #FindingJoyInTheRoutine #TokyoTravel #ShoppingShare #Kichijoji #Japan #TokyoWeekend #WhereToGoOnWeekends #KichijojiExploration #TokyoWorkingPeople
