Torishin-level affordable yakitori at Kei 🍖🔥 and Speakeasy fun!
This new izakaya on 23rd Street in New York is a hidden gem—cheap and delicious, and I feel like I’ve found a treasure! 🌟 The chef used to make yakitori at Torishin. I ordered their Shoyu Ramen 🍜, which has a very clean and smooth soy sauce broth—neither too salty nor too greasy. One sip, and you can tell the chef really knows how to balance flavors. Paired with perfectly grilled chicken skewers, the whole combination is just spot-on! Next time, I definitely want to try their Black Garlic Ramen. 🍜 The yakitori 🍖 is super memorable! I chose two types, meat and vegetarian. The flavors are rich, and some can be dipped in egg liquid. The grilled cherry tomatoes and mushrooms are so yummy and juicy! 😋 To my surprise, there’s a hidden bar 🥂 called Mangetsu. Push open the secret door, and it’s like entering another world. The drink menu is quite interesting. I picked a Bacon cocktail. They actually grill the bacon right in front of you with a blowtorch, then place it on top of the glass. So cool! 😎 🏮Kei 193 7th Ave, New York, NY 10011 #NewYorkExploration 🌆 #NewYorkWeekend 🌟
