Toronto's Trendy Food Scene 🍹 Glass Kitchen
Recently, this creative fusion restaurant has been all the rage, so I checked it out on my birthday. 🍹For drinks, I ordered Citrus Bloom and GK Sunshine; the color gradients were stunning, but the taste was just okay. 🐟The cured yellowtail was beautifully presented, but the flavor was disappointing. It came with a small pot of sauce that tasted like coconut milk, which didn't match the sashimi at all. 🍢The Japanese-style grilled lamb skewers were super fragrant and delicious, wrapped in crushed peanuts. Make sure to eat them while they're hot; they're a must-try! 🍛The Korean Galbi Short Rib with Wavy Crazy Gravy was inspired by loco moco. The meat juice paired with a hot spring egg and rice was tasty, but the beef, which was stewed, felt a bit tough. 🥣The Hokkaido scallop risotto had well-cooked rice with a rich flavor, but it was a bit oily, so it could be heavy if you eat too much. The scallops were perfectly seared, very fresh and tender. 🍰The Raspberry Lychee Baked Alaska was the best dish of the night! The outer layer was toasted marshmallow, with lychee and raspberry ice cream inside, served with half a passion fruit. It was incredibly delicious! After a night of average dishes, this dessert was a delightful surprise. Overall, the dishes were very visually appealing, perfect for taking photos 📷, but the flavors didn't quite wow me. #TorontoFusion #TorontoFoodExploration #TorontoEats #CanadianCuisine #WeekendExploration #TorontoFusionCuisine #RichmondHillEats #TorontoLife #FusionFood
