Toronto | A Brunch Spot That Doesn't Charge Tips
A couple of weekends ago, I met up with a friend for brunch. I remember that day it was snowing heavily. Since I didn’t wear a hat, I ended up washing my hair before heading out. This restaurant is quite interesting—Google Maps showed it opens at 5 PM, but when I checked their website, I found out they quietly serve brunch on weekends from 11 AM to 3 PM. ❄️🧥 The restaurant has a nice ambiance, perfect for catching up with friends. They have a bar area, cozy sofa seats, and a section with curtains that can be pulled for private events. 🍹🛋️ I wouldn’t say this place offers traditional brunch; it has a bit of an exotic flair. We ordered three dishes, and while everything was good, nothing was particularly amazing. I wanted to try the dessert, but we were too full. They also have a wide selection of drinks. 🍴🍷 ▫️ Granola Bowl: This looks like a Christmas wreath! 🎄 Although it's listed as a "bowl," it actually comes on a plate. It's a mix of yogurt, granola, and strawberry jam, and it’s quite tasty. 🍓🥣 ▫️ Tikka Masala Shakshuka: My friend was excited for this North African egg dish, served with naan. 🍳🍛 ▫️ Fried Chicken: I was drawn to this dish because it reminded me of okonomiyaki. It has a fried egg on top 🍳 and underneath are pieces of fried chicken (a bit dry), cabbage, and okonomiyaki. It was actually quite filling. 🍗🥗 When we were settling the bill, my friend mentioned that it seemed like we skipped the tip. She was a bit flustered, but I later found out on the restaurant’s website that they don’t accept tips, whether it’s for brunch or dinner. 💳🚫 #TorontoEats #Toronto #CanadaLife #TorontoFood #TorontoWeekend #TorontoDining #TorontoFoodie #HiddenGems #TorontoBrunch #Brunch #TorontoDateNight ### Name: Marben Address: 488 Wellington St W, Toronto Type: Restaurant ###
