Toronto | Is the Million-Follower Celebrity Chef Restaurant Worth It?

For my birthday 🎂, I chose to dine at the seafood 🦞 and steak 🥩 restaurant run by the million-follower chef Matty Matteson. Tucked away in an unassuming alley, the restaurant’s exterior is as understated as a shipping container, but the inside is a whole different world. It seems to have been designed in collaboration with architect Omar Gandhi, and the ambiance is quite zen. Here are my thoughts after the visit 👇🏻: 🌟 Palace Potatoes with Aioli Sauce These layered potatoes are crispy and delicious! A bite reveals a perfect balance of crispy outside and tender inside. This dish shows off the chef’s mastery with potatoes 🥔. 🌟 Prime Rib Roast🥩 Heads up ⚠️: Their 12oz portion is sliced cut, while the 20oz is palace cut. I, being the big eater, ordered the 20oz without realizing the difference. The larger cut didn't look or taste as appealing as the sliced cut. Although the menu does have small print about this, I really didn’t notice. A little reminder from the server would have been appreciated. 🌟 Sea Urchin Tuna Toast Both the look and taste of this dish are commendable. However, the price is quite extravagant—90🔪 for just 2 petite pieces. Adding caviar would cost an extra 30🔪. 🌟 Drinks 🍹 and Desserts 🍨 They didn’t leave a lasting impression on me. They’re nice for photos 🤳 but aren’t particularly outstanding in taste. Summary: A beautiful place 📷 to snap photos and enjoy a nice meal 🍽️. #RomanticLiving #TorontoLife #AtmosphereRestaurants #Toronto #HiddenGems #DateNightRestaurants #TreasureRestaurantShare #TorontoEats #TorontoFoodie #TorontoDining ### Name: Prime Seafood Palace Address: 944 Queen Street W, Toronto, ON, M6J1G8 Type: Restaurant ###
