Toronto Omakase|$90‼️ This Spot is a Hidden Gem

Out of the blue, my friend and I decided to treat ourselves to an Omakase feast. 🍣 After searching for Omakase spots in Scarborough, we realized there are very few options. We found this place, which hasn’t been widely reviewed by bloggers, but had great ratings on Google Maps. So, we went with a "let's see what happens" attitude! The restaurant is a cozy little spot tucked away in an unassuming plaza. If you prefer bar seating or a tatami room, make sure to let them know when you make your reservation. 🎎 🥢 Appetizers: A huge nine-compartment platter filled with fried chicken, shrimp tempura 🍤, seafood yuzu tacos 🌮, monkfish liver, and more! 🥹 Every bite was delicious—I was already half full after this! 🥢 Seafood Ginger Miso Soup: This soup had salmon, scallops, and shrimp, with a subtle hint of ginger. 🍲 🥢 Teriyaki Salmon: A classic pairing of salmon and teriyaki sauce. 🫑 🥢 Wasabi Beef Steak: The beef 🐂 had a slight bitterness, with the wasabi flavor perfectly balanced—not overpowering the meat. Surprisingly, the overall taste leaned towards savory. 🥢 Sashimi & Sushi Set: The platter included uni, eel, tuna, and more. Everything was super fresh, though I wish there had been more sashimi—I could have kept eating! 🥢 Green Tea Caramel Pudding: This was hands down the best caramel pudding I’ve ever had in Toronto‼️ The strong flavors of rose and green tea 🍵 were a unique and delightful combination. 🌟 The restaurant may be small, but it’s packed with charm and worth keeping as a hidden gem. I’ll definitely be back! There was even a couple celebrating their anniversary, and the staff surprised them with sparklers on their dessert. 🪄 Since there’s only one head chef, our meal took about an hour and a half. #TorontoEats #Toronto #TorontoOmakase #TorontoLife #Scarborough #Nakamori #HiddenGem #TorontoFoodSpots ### Name: Nakamori Japanese Restaurant Address: 2803 Eglinton Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1J 2E1 Type: Restaurant ###
