Toronto Restaurant Review|Canada's Top 100 - Ranked 8th TAPAS Series
Ranked 8th among Canada's Top 100 Restaurants and top 5 in Toronto—what makes this place so irresistible? Before the weather warms up, make sure to snag a reservation and experience it for yourself! 💫 The moment I walked in, I fell in love with the dim lighting—it had that intoxicating, glamorous vibe that instantly washes away the fatigue of a long workday. Not ordering a drink would just feel wrong! 💫 Roast Veal Bone Marrow $18: One of their must-try dishes! The roasting was spot-on—crispy and tender, perfectly balanced. The bread and sauce that came with it did a great job of cutting through the richness of the marrow. 💫 Quarter Octopus $32: It seems like every bistro these days has octopus on the menu. I’ve had some disappointing ones before—either rubbery or under-seasoned. This one was decent, with a slightly tangy flavor, but it’s not the best I’ve ever had. Worth trying, though. 💫 Patata Bravas $12: Five-star recommendation‼️ These crispy fried potatoes exceeded my expectations! Honestly, the best I’ve had in Toronto, and only $12—a steal! The size of the potato chunks was just right, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not too greasy. The sauce drizzled on top was the perfect complement. A full-score dish for pairing with drinks! 💫 Mixed Meat & Cheese Plate $28: Since I’m not super familiar with ham and cheese, I figured I had to try some jamón while in a Spanish place. We ordered their pre-selected plate, and the waitress gave us a detailed explanation when it arrived—though I can’t remember much now, haha! It tasted good, but it’s not something I’d insist on ordering here. 💫 Scallop: Five-star recommendation‼️ I believe even Gordon Ramsay wouldn’t find a flaw in this dish. The simple seasoning let the natural flavor of the scallop shine, and the precise cooking kept it tender. If it weren’t so expensive, I could easily eat five plates by myself, haha! Here’s hoping I can one day achieve scallop freedom through hard work! 💫 Grilled Mushroom & Cured Egg Yolk $22: Not recommended‼️ The mushrooms were overcooked, leaving a persistent bitterness, and I couldn’t even taste the cured egg yolk. We also tried their signature Basque cake for dessert. The total was about $100 per person. The tip is automatically included in the bill. After a satisfying meal, you can take a stroll to the nearby T&T to walk it off. #Toronto #WeekendVibes #HiddenGemRestaurants #Bar #TorontoEats #TorontoFoodie #TorontoDining #Top100RestaurantsCanada ### Name: Bar Isabel Address: 797 College St, Toronto Type: Restaurant ###
