Toronto Surroundings 🍽️ | A Romantic Restaurant in the Countryside: Pearl
Hellooo! For my birthday this year, I finally visited the destination restaurant I’d been craving for ages, Restaurant Pearl Morissette. I loved it so much 🤤 Here are some dishes I highly recommend: • Crab: The treasure crab paired with a creamy cold soup is perfect! Served inside their home-grown green apples, it combines the freshness of apples and celery for a delightful sensory experience. I absolutely adore this seafood + fruit combo! 🦀🍏 • Scallop: So sweet and tender 😍 • Geoduck: So delicious! Geoduck with hazelnut sauce, sandwiched in a potato cake like a taco. Eating it with the view of the autumn sea is just magical 🤤🌊 • Pork: Pork! So tasty! I wasn’t expecting much, but it turned out to be incredibly flavorful and tender, like a creamy bacon. The red wine paired with it cuts through the richness perfectly 🍷🥩 • Beef: At first, I thought, “Oh, striploin, not really my type.” Even though it’s lean, the beef flavor is intense! The miso and shiso eggnog sauce is such a unique pairing, something I never imagined! 🥩🍶 • Desserts: All three desserts were amazing! The sorbet and tart were like the highest praise a Chinese person could give for desserts: “Not too sweet!” and absolutely delicious! The blackberry sorbet was even refreshing and perfect as the first dessert 🫐🤤. The tart was super crispy, paired with verbena-flavored ice cream—cool and took me back to summer. The final dessert was a crème brûlée-like puff. Delicious and rich, just the right size (by this point, I was pretty full 😅). • Drinks: I’d recommend garden pairing over wine pairing. Perhaps because I don’t usually eat fruits and vegetables, the juice pairings were surprisingly delightful. The wine was good, but the garden pairing was the standout experience 🍹🌿 It was a satisfying day of dining, and I headed home with a happy belly. Oh, and I bet dining with the sunset and fields in warmer weather would be incredibly soothing! 🌅🌾 #CanadaTopRestaurants #TorontoLife #TorontoEats #TorontoDining #TorontoSurroundings #NiagaraFallsWinery ### Name: Restaurant Pearl Morissette Address: 3953 Jordan Rd, Jordan Station, ON L0R 1S0 Type: Restaurant ###
