Toronto Surroundings 📍| Best Burrata Near the Falls

I recently discovered a gem near the falls—Fat Rabbit in St. Catharines. I was first drawn in by their Instagram, with its stunning dishes and the fact that several renowned Toronto chefs follow them. They specialize in charcoal-grilled dishes, homemade charcuterie, and farm-to-table cuisine. I absolutely loved their cold dishes, which were perfectly seasoned and let the seasonal ingredients shine. Compared to the fresh appetizers, the main courses were hearty, with the grilled meats offering a delightful smoky aroma. The staff invites guests to check out the meat cabinet and choose their favorite cuts. Overall, definitely worth the visit! 🫛 Burrata with Peas & Prosciutto Cotto: My first time trying burrata with peas, and it was just divine! So fresh and rustic! The mint in the sauce opened up the taste buds and perfectly highlighted the pure, creamy flavor of the burrata. The prosciutto added a lovely layer of savory goodness. 😋🍽️ 🥩 Beef Tartare with Tuna and Olives: Olive lovers will adore this! The tartare is lighter and less sticky than classic French versions, with thick-cut tuna adding a satisfying bite. 🐟🍴 🍖 Mixed Grill: Our mixed grill platter included steak, pork chops, and chorizo sausage. The pork chop was the standout (even though it was completely blackened on the outside)! The fat was incredibly flavorful, with no off-putting pork taste. The steak was overcooked, but the staff offered to replace it—though we were too full to take them up on it. 🍖🥩 🦐 Nordic Shrimp & Salmon Roe on White Asparagus: The white asparagus was so crisp and sweet!!! The shrimp and roe were more like garnishes, making you feel like you’re savoring spring on your plate. 🥗🌷 🐮 Steak Hache: The white asparagus from the appetizers was so good that we ordered this main dish to enjoy with the amazing sauce. 🍽️ 🐑 Lamb Salami & Terrine: The lamb salami was exceptionally flavorful! It’s noticeably fresher and less salty than store-bought versions. Perfect with a glass of wine. The terrine was decent but nothing extraordinary. 🥩🍷 🧄 Garlic & Feta Sausage: I was drawn to this green sausage in the meat cabinet, and it did not disappoint! It was incredibly tasty and a must-try. 🌭👌 #TorontoLife #TorontoEats #TorontoDining #StCatharines #Niagara #NiagaraFalls #Ontario ### Name: Fat Rabbit Address: 34 Geneva St, St. Catharines, ON L2R 4M4 Type: Restaurant ###
