Toronto Surroundings | Kingston | Piggy Restaurant Recommendations 🔥

They say Kingston is a food desert, but this restaurant is a local favorite. It’s a charming spot where grandparents, young ladies, and even their dogs 🐩 come for coffee and afternoon tea. 📅 Time: Definitely book in advance on weekends! Early risers can’t beat the grandparents! 🍴 Restaurant: There are indoor and outdoor seating options. Indoor: The decor is vintage and artsy, with two levels; the spiral staircase is great for photos. You’ll also spot lots of little piggy 🐖 elements around. Outdoor Patio: Located in a small alley between two buildings, this spot offers a rustic experience! Enjoy your meal while dodging cute, oversized bees straight out of a cartoon 🤣. 🥘 Delicious Dishes: It’s said you must try the duck leg confit (available only for dinner) and the oysters 🦪. For lunch and brunch, I highly recommend the daily specials—they’re far better than the fixed menu options! Oyster (PEI): Prince Edward Island oysters. Ordered 2.5 plates; on the day I visited, half a plate was $20 🔪 and a full plate was around $38 🔪. 1/2 Sandwich w Mushroom & Wild Rice: A sandwich made with a croissant base, filled with spicy Capocollo cured meat, red and green onions, tomatoes, and a small bowl of carrot slaw. Very flavorful! Pulled Pork Sandwich: Highly recommended! The pork portion is generous, though it might be a bit messy (not ideal for a first date, as it can get quite saucy). Lemon Caper Fish Cake: Fish cakes made with potatoes and cod (not 100% sure). Served with arugula and a hollandaise vinaigrette. The portion is small, with four pieces. Good for fish lovers, though it has a slight fishy taste. FC Sandwich: Not recommended. It’s Korean fried chicken leg with a tangy, spicy flavor, but can be a bit greasy. The Chez Piggy Club: Not recommended. It’s just regular sliced bread with thin slices of meat, lettuce, and some chips—pretty average. Summary: The front entrance is perfect for photos 📷. Good for a casual brunch, with a rustic atmosphere (and where else would you find such plump bees?). If you can, choose the patio, or the second floor. If no options are available, settle for the first floor—at least there are no bees 🐝. #RomanticLife #RestaurantRecommendations #KingstonEats #KingstonExploration #TorontoSurroundings #TorontoGetaways #TorontoFood ### Name: Chez Piggy Restaurant & Bar Location: In a small alley between two buildings; the entrance isn’t very visible! There are two doors: one opposite RBC and one next to Jack Astor. Type: Restaurant ###
