Toy enthusiasts, don't miss this hidden gem in Singapore 🎪🚀
I was in Singapore for the F1 and stayed on Beach Road. On my way back to the hotel, I passed by this toy museum and spontaneously decided to visit. I highly recommend it to all toy lovers and those who enjoy vintage collectibles! 👨👩👧👦✨ 🌟 Museum Highlights: The Mint Museum of Toys, established in 2007, is the largest vintage toy collection museum in Asia. The museum's founder, Chang Yang Fa, a lover of design, art, and collecting toys, envisioned a space dedicated to showcasing vintage toys and childhood memorabilia, a place where people can rediscover the past and evoke childhood memories. 🧳👣 The museum boasts over 50,000 rare toys from around the world, with classic and precious collections from more than 40 countries, spanning from the 1840s to the 1980s. The exhibits are categorized and displayed on each floor, featuring not only action figures and toys but also candy cookie tins, bicycles, advertising signs, posters, newspapers, and books. The themes range from robot toys, space toys, to the origins and evolution of toys from classic animations and movies (like the old Mickey and Astro Boy that look completely different from today), to traditional toys from around the globe. There are plenty of interesting little things to see! 🤖🚀🧸 📌 Visiting Tips: You can allocate 45 minutes to 1 hour for your visit. There are about 4-5 floors, and each floor is not very large. You can get a general idea of the themes on each floor and then take a closer look at the sections that interest you. ⏳🔍 🎟️ Ticket Prices: The official website offers tickets for 30 SGD (when I bought them, it seemed to be 35 SGD, not sure if the price has dropped). The museum is closed during the day on Mondays but seems to be open at night on Mondays and Tuesdays, so confirm before you go. It's open from 9:30 to 18:30 on other days. You can buy tickets online or on-site, and I bought mine on-site since there weren't many people. 🎫💸 🧷 Official Website: Mint Museum of Toys 🌐 📍 Address: 26 Seah St, Singapore 188382 🏢 #100ShopsExplorationPlan #Singapore #SingaporeTravel ✈️🏖️
