Travel | Recommended! Authentic Restaurants in Porto for 5 to 10 Euros Per Person
đThis time when I went to Porto, I did my homework in advance. I tried the popular seafood paella which was indeed very good, but the roadside restaurant that I discovered through TripAdvisor was the most astonishing for us. đThere are many small dishes, those small plates that everyone can share, averaging 3 euros each! We ordered the octopus salad, which was very fresh and had a great texture. The fried octopus was also very good. The clams were cooked with pasil and white wine, and the price was so cost-effective. They also have Portugal's classic francesinha, which is ham and cheese bread with sauce and fries. I didn't like this dish too much because it was too heavy. đMy favorite was their sandwiches. Many places in Portugal have sandwiches like the one in the second picture, but the sandwich I had was made with a certain part of pork (not pig ears, nor regular pork loin, super delicious!!! It had a little bit of salt and pepper, and tasted like Wenzhou pork lard but not as greasy. The meat had some chewy parts and some fatty parts. Normally, sandwiches with just bread and meat can feel very dry, but this fried pork was crispy, and I really liked it. It was called Redenho, porc shrimp sandwich! đ§They have daily specials and daily soups. The green soup we ordered was a bit salty, but I found that Portuguese dishes seem to be quite salty in general. It might go well with bread, but we didnât order any. âŁïž Tasquinha ZĂ© Povinho âŁïžAddress:R. de Clemente Meneres n°36, 4050-201 Porto đThe atmosphere is not that of a fancy restaurant, but rather like a cheap and delicious local diner downstairs from home. I really recommend it, as it's only a five to ten-minute walk from the nearby center. #Portugal Travel #Porto Travel #Porto Food #Travel Food
