Travel (19) Fallingwater is So Beautiful 🤎 Must Visit in All Four Sea

When I was in Pittsburgh, I visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s famous Fallingwater! From its colors to its structure and interior design, everything absolutely captivated my taste! 📅 Tours require advance reservations~ I chose the guided tour for $42 per person. It takes you through every room of Fallingwater for a detailed visit—totally worth it! 📅 Fallingwater is currently undergoing maintenance, so some areas have scaffolding. All maintenance is expected to be completed by 2027. 🤎 Can you believe the main house of Fallingwater was built in 1935? That’s already 90 years ago! This classic modern design still amazes me nine decades later! Frank Lloyd Wright was 69 years old when he designed Fallingwater. The original owners were the founders of the Kaufmann’s department store—if that doesn’t ring a bell, it was the predecessor of Macy’s. Back then, Pittsburgh suffered from severe air pollution due to its many steel mills, so the wealthy often built their homes away from the city in areas with fresher air. 🤎 Fallingwater is open to the public entirely thanks to the Kaufmann family’s wishes. They not only donated the house but also insisted that all interior decorations, furnishings, and furniture remain exactly as they were for visitors to appreciate. The tour is generously designed—no rooms are roped off, and every corner of every room is open for exploration. 🤎 Moreover, when the Kaufmanns were away, they welcomed their servants and their families to stay in Fallingwater. How heartwarming is that! 🤎 Recommended Seasons to Visit: Since we went in summer, the waterfall was relatively dry. 🍃 To see the waterfall full and vibrant, visit in spring 💚 ❄️ To experience Fallingwater serene and frozen, visit in winter 🤍 🍂 To see the perfect harmony of colors, you must visit in golden autumn 🤎 🎋 This is also a popular engagement spot~ Occasionally, rare fine dining experiences ($450 per person) are offered. Dining inside Fallingwater feels like sharing a cross-temporal moment with its original owners~ Making a silent wish 🎋 to dine there someday 🍽️ #Fallingwater #FrankLloydWright #Pittsburgh #Fallingwater #FallingwaterHouse #StayInAHistoricSite #ArchitecturalAesthetics #ModernArchitecture #ClassicArchitecture #EastCoastTravel
