Treasure Japanese Ramen Open for Only 4.5 Hours on Weekdays 🍜
Kamisama Ramen 📍 230 E 14th St, New York, NY 10003 (There’s also Uncle Tai’s nearby for some shopping fun!) 🛍️ 🛍️On my first visit, I ordered three dishes: Tonkotsu Ramen: The broth is incredibly flavorful and refreshing. It doesn’t leave that artificial aftertaste like some other ramen places. The generous amount of crisp bean sprouts perfectly balances the rich broth. The only downside is that the soft-boiled egg isn’t included by default and needs to be added separately. The noodles are thick and chewy, and overall, I think it’s much better than Ichiran. 🍜 🌟 Beef Bowl: Compared to the ramen, it’s not as impressive. The beef and rice are a bit undercooked, but the portion is quite satisfying. 🍱 Wasabi Octopus: I didn’t realize it was raw octopus when I ordered it, but if you’re into it, you’ll love it. It’s a great side dish with a strong wasabi flavor that doesn’t overpower the senses. 🦑 🛍️They also offer an all-you-can-drink option for $10/hour, but since I’m not much of a drinker, I didn’t go for it. 🍻 Their operating hours are quite laid-back: closed on Mondays, and open only in the evenings from Tuesday to Thursday for just four and a half hours. 🕒 🌟 I also learned a new term: "Ramen Jiro-style". In short, it’s a type of Japanese ramen known for being "super-sized + super-rich + super-satisfying." It originated from the famous Japanese shop Ramen Jiro, and many places have copied it, so it’s collectively called "Jiro-style." 🍜 #NewYork #NYCRamen #RamenRecommendations #ManhattanRamen 🗽️
