Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine 🌸🌺🌿🍃
Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, formerly known as Kamakura Hachimangu, 🌺🌿🍃 was established during the Kamakura Shogunate period (1192) and served as the center of faith and guardian deity for the samurai. It has deep connections with the first shogun of Kamakura and is quite famous in the Kanto region. 🌺🌿🍃 Along with Iwashimizu Hachimangu (in Kyoto) and Usa Hachimangu (in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu), it is known as one of Japan's three major Hachimangu shrines. 🌺🌿🍃 The shrine grounds are expansive, with several areas designated as national historic sites. Additionally, many flowering plants are cultivated here, 🌺🌿🍃 making it a popular spot for cherry blossom and autumn leaf viewing. 🍁 🌸 #Japan 🌺🌿🍃
