Tsutenkaku | Where Osaka's Cyberpunk Dreams Begin 🌟

What left the deepest impression on me about Osaka were those gigantic neon signs. 🎢🌟 Particularly Tsutenkaku and Dotonbori. If Kyoto's temples reflect the Zen essence of karesansui, then Osaka feels like a utopia straight out of a cyberpunk dream. Tsutenkaku is home to many iconic signs. The of the puffer fish was once a must-visit spot a few years ago. 🍃🌺 Although the puffer fish sign is no longer there, there are still plenty of other exaggerated and huge signs floating around. I did some research on Osaka's neon signs before. 🎢🌟 It turns out that since the Japanese colonial era, Osaka has opened many Kabuki theaters in the city center to attract tourists from all over. In order to get people to come and see the shows, the theaters would display the actors and plays in an exaggerated way on the signs outside. 🍃🌺 Even though Dotonbori and Tsutenkaku no longer have these traditional theaters and have become food and shopping streets, those flamboyant, huge signs have been preserved. Compared to Dotonbori, which is mainly about food and shopping, Tsutenkaku has a bit more to offer in terms of fun. 🎢🌟 It may have declined a bit in recent years, but if you're visiting for the first time, it's still worth a visit. #Osaka
