π Two-Michelin-Star French Cuisine | π΄ Jean-Georges π
Once a three-Michelin-star restaurant, Jean-Georges was demoted to two stars in 2018. π Located in the Trump International Hotel Tower in Columbus Circle, thereβs a dedicated entrance with the restaurantβs name. Inside, youβll find the main restaurant, Jean-Georges, and the more casual Nougatine by Jean-Georges. ποΈ For lunch, they offer a 3-course and a 6-course menu. I went with the 3-course option, which actually included four dishes plus dessert. π½οΈ First Course: πΈ Hudson Valley Foie Gras (+$18) The foie gras was perfectly seared, with a delicate crust on top. It was topped with roasted quince, which tasted like tiny tomatoes. π πΈ Yellowfin Tuna The tuna sashimi was incredibly fresh, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. π Second Course: πΈ King Crab The king crab risotto was rich and flavorful, topped with crispy rice and nori. π¦ πΈ Scallops Three beautifully seared scallops, accompanied by roasted cauliflower and a side of Spanish red pepper sauce. π¦ͺ Third Course: πΈ Halibut The halibut was tender and flaky, served with a fennel herb sauce (featuring parsley, lemon, and garlic) and a frothy white garlic consommΓ©. π Dessert: πΈ Mont Blanc This dessert was chocolate-based, a bit on the sweeter side, with not much chestnut flavor. π« πΈ Apple Confit A tangy delight, reminiscent of hawthorn, that perfectly cut through the richness of the meal. π After the main dessert, there were also petit fours to choose from, including chocolates, macarons, and gummies. I picked a few to sample. π¬ P.S. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays. ποΈ π Jean-Georges 1 Central Park W, New York, NY 10023 #NewYorkCuisine#NewYorkEats #NewYorkMichelin π
