Two-Michelin-Starred Japanese Cuisine L'Abysse
💶 115 Euro per person for the lunch set, but it feels like a rip-off. Basically, it's just three courses, and the portions are extremely small 😅 You definitely need to order extra dishes. Yannick Alleno's two-Michelin-starred restaurant, L'Abysse, serves Japanese cuisine. Since I had previously tried the one- and three-Michelin-starred restaurants in the same building and found them average, I decided to go for the cheapest lunch set at this two-star place. The taste is decent, but the lunch set portions are EXTREMELY small. I wouldn't recommend it. 🍽️ 1\. A type of fish, EXTREMELY salty, served with another type of fish, also quite salty, butter sauce, and crispy rice crackers. 2\. Vegetable salad with lots of raw vegetables, including cucumber and mushrooms, and a sweet-and-sour jelly. It's just okay. 3\. Three slices of fish and a bowl of vinegar rice. - Akami with soy sauce - Chu-toro with black sesame seasoning - O-toro with plum sauce 4\. A stewed egg-like lobster soup. 5\. Plum + cream, very creamy. 6\. I added four sushi pieces and two hand rolls outside the set. The sushi and hand rolls were quite good. The fish quality was high, and the sushi rice had a nice acidity with distinct grains. However, the tuna was clearly more worth it than the langoustine hand roll. 🍚 The serving speed was incredibly slow. A few foreigners were working at a leisurely pace, which was exhausting to watch. The fish quality was quite good, and the sushi (all made by Japanese chefs) was also nice. 🌟 Not worth trying; won't revisit. #TwoMichelinStars #Omakase #JapaneseCuisine #ParisJapanese #ParisMichelin #ParisianDelights #ParisOmakase #RomanticRestaurantInParis #RestaurantReview #FoodieContest
