Ueno Toshogu Shrine
🎢🌸Japan's Most Luxurious Shrine with Rich Chinese Elements 🌟 ⛩️ One of the highlights of my trip to Nikko was visiting Toshogu Shrine, known as "Japan's most luxurious shrine." With its deep connections to the Edo period and its stunning architecture, it's a must-see for anyone interested in history and architecture. 🌿 HIRSTORY 🎢🌸This shrine is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Edo period. It is said that he left a will to be buried in Nikko. 🌿🌟 The three-leaf paulownia, a crest of the Tokugawa family, can be seen everywhere in the shrine. 🎢🌸There are eight national treasures in Toshogu Shrine. The architectural style of the shrine is gorgeous and elegant, and it has been designated as a World Cultural Heritage site. 🌿🌟During the Edo period, Japan was deeply influenced by Chinese culture. Chinese elements such as Chinese characters, Chinese allusions, and Tang Dynasty lions can be seen everywhere in Toshogu Shrine. 🌿🌟 #Ueno
