UK Study Abroad | Journey to Land's End: Penzance Edition

And finally—we’ve arrived at the last stop of our "Land's End Adventure": Penzance! 🌊 🚂 Getting Here We reached Penzance around 4-5 PM after a quick 20-minute bus ride from St Ives (with one transfer). The most convenient route: Plymouth → St Ives → Penzance → Home ❤️ 🔺 Pro Tip: Since Land’s End has no train station, you’ll need to go from Penzance. Hotels can help arrange shared taxis (cost-effective for groups). 🏨 Queens Hotel: Seaside Stay • 15-min walk from the train station – worth it for the scenic route! • Passed a stunning seaside promenade with layered houses overlooking the ocean. • Our room was compact but cozy, with direct sea views. • Locals love the hotel’s sunset tea sessions – perfect for golden-hour relaxation. 🍽️ Dinner Mishap & Surprise Planned to eat at Mackerel Sky Cafe (famous for seafood), but it was closed! Ended up at a medieval-themed fried chicken spot (name forgotten…). • Fun vibe: Loud birthday celebrations (heard "Happy Birthday" 10+ times!) 🎉 • Not ideal for quiet chats but full of local energy ‼️ Still recommend Mackerel Sky for seafood lovers! 🎱 Unexpected Friends Met the hotel owner and bonded over pool and travel stories – one of those magic travel moments! 💞 🌅 Day 2: Land’s End & Minack Theatre 🚖 Minack Theatre (30-min taxi) • £7 entry fee for this cliffside amphitheater with ancient stone seating. • Catch a play with the Atlantic as your backdrop – surreal! • Post-show, explore the cliffs for dreamy ocean views. 📍 Land’s End • Iconic signpost – customize it with your name for a photo! 📸 • On-site café does a solid Cornish cream tea. ⏳ Trip Summary • 5 days total for Plymouth + St Ives + Penzance • Summer visits = better weather but pack sunscreen! Every photo here is shot & edited by me – hope this guide helps your future adventures! More travel tips & food recs to come. 🌍✨ #CornwallTravel #Penzance #LandSEnd#UKAdventures #StudyAbroadLife
