Due to work, I travel frequently, and recently I've completely fallen in love with the Roast Lamb Chops, Taro Crispy Duck, and Vegetarian Mapo Tofu at Spring by China Mama. π Roast Lamb Chops I'm usually not a big meat lover because many places don't use fresh ingredients, and you can often taste that "off" smell. But here... the lamb chops are absolutely divine! π€€ Coated in a mildly spicy sauce that locks in the juicy tenderness, each bite is flavorful, crispy on the outside, and melts in your mouth. Honestly, these are the best lamb chops I've ever had β no competition! π¦ Taro Crispy Duck Ever since I watched the popular drama Hidden Love starring Zhao Lusi and Ma Boqian early last year, I've been craving the famous "Taro Crispy Duck" β the one people line up for over an hour to try. And finally, I found it here! The texture is incredibly unique: the duck skin is perfectly crispy without any greasy taste, and the meat remains tender and moist. But the real magic happens when the taro meets the duck β a delightful balance of sweet and savory that creates layers of flavor. Before I knew it, I was reaching for a second piece... so irresistibly delicious and yes, totally sinful! π πΆοΈ Vegetarian Mapo Tofu This is a dish you'll find in almost every Chinese restaurant, but it's also the ultimate test of a chef's skills. Let's be real β most places serve bland tofu in a sticky sauce that's spicy but lacks the signature numbing sensation. It just doesnβt deserve to be called Mapo Tofu. But here, it's different! π If you're a fan of that authentic mΓ‘lΓ (numbing and spicy) kick, you've got to try this. And for my vegetarian friends β you can enjoy it without worry, because there's no minced meat! π China Mama has several branches in Las Vegas, and each location has a slightly different menu, though a few signature dishes are available across all.
