Unmissable New York Art Markets and Unique Vintage Finds (1)π¨
Weekends are, without fail, for gallery hopping and market browsing! π π’π On Sundays, galleries are almost always closed, so I usually skip Chelsea and head to Williamsburg instead. π Artist & Fleas 70 N 7th St, Brooklyn This Williamsburg market β οΈ only opens on weekends β οΈ. They also have a Chelsea location that operates from Thursday to Monday. π’π In addition to vintage clothing, you'll find a plethora of handmade items from niche, independent designers, including hats, scarves, accessories, and apparelβ¦ and occasionally, there are artworks and photographic pieces too. β οΈ If you spot something you like, grab it right away. Each vendor's space is fluid; they rarely stay in one spot permanently. Some return every weekend, but others are more sporadic. If you like a vendor's style but don't see anything you want to buy, ask for their Instagram handle. They usually post stories about their upcoming market locations. π’π When I first entered, I fell in love with the Celine-inspired earrings on the cover. No one was around, so I decided to look around more. I got so caught up in browsing that I forgot to buy them. It wasn't until I looked at my photos at home that I remembered. When I went back, the vendor was gone. #NewYork π½
