Vallée aux Loups Park in Paris | See the Majestic Cedar Trees 🌲✨
As a PhD student, drowning in the daily pressures of thesis work and lacking positive feedback, I often need ways to recharge my energy. One of my favorite places to completely relax and unwind is Vallée aux Loups Park, located in the southern part of Greater Paris in the 92nd district. Every time I visit, I feel like my academically exhausted body is rejuvenated by the lush greenery and fresh oxygen. 🌿💚 🌳 Four Highlights of Vallée aux Loups Park—Relaxed and Refreshing 1️⃣ Arboretum|A Paradise for Plant Lovers The heart of Vallée aux Loups, this area is home to rare tree species from around the world, including the awe-inspiring 150-year-old blue cedar. With few visitors, you can sit quietly under the massive shade of the cedar trees and let your mind wander. There are also various apple trees, and when they bloom, the fragrance is incredibly soothing. There’s also a delicate Japanese bonsai greenhouse 🎍, which feels like stepping into a Kyoto courtyard. However, the greenhouse has limited opening hours, so check the official website in advance! 2️⃣ Parc boisé|Embrace Raw Nature Walking into the wooded park feels like stumbling into a wild, untamed forest. This area is closer to primitive nature, with plants and trees growing freely and the terrain rolling up and down. In autumn, you can stroll through fallen leaves and even find chestnuts 🌰. It’s a perfect spot for hiking and picnics! Lying here on sunny afternoons, I’ve often felt like I’ve been gently given a break from the stresses of life. 3️⃣ Île Verte|Green Island Garden Though small, the Green Island is charming and full of surprises. There’s a cute and romantic vegetable garden (where you can see tomatoes, pumpkins, and peppers—but no picking allowed!). 4️⃣ Chateaubriand’s House As an early pioneer of French Romanticism, Chateaubriand left a strong cultural mark here. He was exiled to Vallée aux Loups for criticizing Napoleon and wrote many poems and essays during his stay. His house is now open to the public (admission fee required), where you can see his study, paintings, and manuscripts. #Paris #ValléeAuxLoups #FranceTravel #LifeInFrance #NatureLovers #GreaterParis #ParisHiking #AutumnPhotography #PhDLife #EscapeTheCity
