๐ณ Valley of the Fairies, Does It House Little Elves? ๐งโโ๏ธ
๐ฐ Castelul de Lut Valea Zanelor, known as the Valley of the Fairies' Clay Castle, is a hidden gem located between Brasov and Sibiu in Romania. ๐ Road Trip Route: Depart from Brasov and make your way to Rasnov Citadel and the famous Bran Castle, the home of Dracula. After these stops, continue to Castelul de Lut Valea Zanelor, and then head to Sibiu for the night. ๐ก The Castle Itself: This is actually a small house with only 10 rooms, not quite a castle. Its charm lies in its fairy-tale exterior. Architects Raluca ศi Razvan Vasile drew inspiration from fairy tales and natural curves, using organic shapes that blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The environment around the house is truly exceptional. ๐ Visiting Experience: I visited at the end of April, and the journey along the Carpathian Mountains with snow-capped peaks and vast fields gave a feeling akin to being at the foot of the Tian Shan Mountains. Nestled at the base of the snow mountains and surrounded by forest beauty, the house felt especially serene and picturesque. This setting enhances the fairy-tale ambiance of the house. ๐ Transportation: Accessible only by car, it's 1 hour and 50 minutes from Dracula's Castle and 50 minutes from Sibiu. โฑ๏ธ Opening Hours: 10:30-17:30. ๐ถ Admission: Entry requires cash for a ticket priced at 25 Lei. With the ticket, you can exchange it for a free meal at a small restaurant inside (a rather unique operation). The options are limited; I had a chicken steak with fries, which wasn't particularly tasty but filling. #TravelSnaps #HealingScenery #EncounterWithEmeraldForest #TakeYourTimeTraveling #IntimateMomentsWithNature
