Vancouver|This North Surrey Korean Restaurant is Legit Delicious!
Stop calling Surrey a food desert already! While it may not have as many dining options as other Metro Vancouver areas, there are definitely hidden gems—like this Korean spot in North Surrey that totally rivals Lougheed's offerings! We started with sundae (blood sausage), tteokbokki, and fish cake soup—pretty standard, but the main dishes were the real stars! ✨ Must-Try Dishes ✨ Braised Pork Hock: Perfectly balanced fat-to-meat ratio—chewy, tender, and packed with collagen, without being greasy! Spicy Stir-Fried Squid: Flavor bomb, though could’ve used more squid and less veggies. Pork Bone Potato Soup (💰58): A HUGE pot with 8 meaty bones—fall-off-the-bone tender! The broth is rich, and the potatoes melt in your mouth. So worth it! 👏🏻 Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles): Thin, silky noodles in a refreshing broth with a touch of pear juice—perfect for summer! 🥳 Kimchi Pancake (forgot to snap a pic!): Bigger than my head, crispy outside, fluffy inside, with a tangy kimchi kick. Loved it! Bibimbap (kid-friendly version): Loaded with veggies, though the beef was more like minced meat (could’ve used more). Aside from the slightly mediocre appetizers, everything else was solid—authentic but not overly salty or spicy (no post-meal stomach chaos, which I often get from Korean food 😂). The place was packed (lots of Korean customers too!), with servers hustling nonstop—takeout orders kept rolling in. Verdict: If you’re in Surrey, skip the 30-minute drive to Coquitlam—this place delivers! 📍 Lee Gar Nei: 15280 101 Ave #128, Surrey, BC V3R 8X7 🔍 More food adventures in my saved collections! 👉🏻 My profile → Saved → Albums #VancouverEats #VancouverFoodie #KoreanFood #SurreyEats #FoodDiary #VancouverLife #WeekendFoodTour #HiddenGems
