What did I eat during my four-day stay in Port Vila! Joe Vietnamese Restaurant 🍲 The garlic pork is delicious! I had it two meals in a row. 🥃The pho is just so-so, but the fresh shrimp rolls and beef stew are tasty too! I came back two days in a row and even wanted to drop by before leaving, though it’s not cheap by local standards. Rossi's 🦀 A restaurant known for coconut crab. I ordered one, but the taste was mediocre and the meat was tough. The spaghetti and tiramisu, however, are good! Banyan Beach Cafe 🍕 My first meal in town after arriving. Pizza seems really popular here. The brownie is a nice surprise—not sweet at all!🥘 The grilled fish🐟 is very dry, and the beef burger is average. But I saw a stunning sunset here 🌄. The Beach Bar 🍟 Right outside Hideaway Island. The steak is overcooked, the view is beautiful, portions are large, but the taste is just so-so. The sweet potato 🍅fries have no sweetness at all. The Stonegrill Restaurant 🥩 The meat and fish are fresh… The view is okay, but personally, I find the taste quite ordinary beyond the freshness. Tanna Island🥬 We stayed at Evergreen Hotel. Before going, I read that the hotel restaurant was terrible, so I brought two buckets of instant noodles. But we were so hungry that we ordered from the restaurant anyway—seafood pasta and sirloin steaks. We arrived too late, so only rice and garlic sauce were left. With zero expectations, it was surprisingly not bad! The landlady is very kind. The next day, we got up early for the Blue Cave and had no appetite, so we didn’t pre-order breakfast, but she still prepared some for us to take on the road. When checking out, both our credit cards failed 😢. We quickly asked the landlady to accept WeChat Pay. So, better bring enough cash before you go! Port Vila Accommodation The Terraces Boutique Apartments Highly recommended! Super new and clean, with a beautiful view.🥜 They even have pool-view rooms—new, clean, and lovely! The only downside is that the bed feels a bit damp. 🍰Mangoes It’s popular online, but I have to give it a bad review 😡. The rooms are tiny and old, with various bugs inside and outside. Two big cockroaches even flew out of our room—it was disgusting. We were so scared that we kept our suitcases closed while sleeping, afraid something might crawl in.🍛 The bathroom water is either scalding or freezing, and the bed feels unclean. Fatumaru Lodge🏠 It has good ratings on Google. It looks a bit old from the outside but was actually renovated in 2024. The rooms have a touch of French style. It’s the first hotel with air conditioning and mosquito nets 🥹. I slept super soundly here, no need to worry about bug bites.🍔 #Vanuatu #VanuatuFood #VanuatuLife
