Vegas Food Diary • Blue Ribbon @ Cosmopolitan Hotel

The Ultimate Oyster Temptation! 🦪✨ Quick trip to Vegas! Decided to try Blue Ribbon at the Cosmopolitan Hotel—highly recommended by the super friendly front desk guy, who called it the best oyster bar on the Strip! 🏨💙 I was a bit worried about parasites in raw oysters, but he gave me a quick lesson: oyster parasites stay on the shell, restaurants clean them thoroughly, keep them chilled, and soak them in saltwater before serving—so they’re safe and delicious! 🧊🔬 The oyster bar is on the third floor of the Cosmopolitan. I went for the $100 Prix Fixe Menu: ✅ Appetizer 1 – Oyster & Shrimp Cocktail Oysters might taste similar everywhere, but thanks to that front desk hype, these felt extra fresh and flavorful—advertising works! 🍤🎉 ✅ Appetizer 2 – Baked Claws Tiny bits of shellfish meat topped with loads of Japanese breadcrumbs and miso—kinda like eating a savory pancake! 🥘🍘 ✅ Main Course – Baked Lobster Besides oysters, their baked lobster is a specialty! Prepared similarly to the baked claws—loaded with breadcrumbs and garlic, crispy on top, tender and juicy inside! 🦞🧄 ✅ Dessert – Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding A classic sweet American dessert, but saved by the ice cream that balanced the richness! 🍫🍨 That wrapped up my fixed menu! My friend wasn’t into the set menu, so they ordered à la carte: ✅ Appetizer 1 – Crab Cake, $48 Tasty and hefty—could easily be a main course! 🦀📏 ✅ Appetizer 2 – Oyster Rockefeller, $32 Oysters topped with a mix of butter, spinach purée, and Parmesan, then baked until golden. The creamy, cheesy blend melted perfectly with the oyster—so aromatic! 🧀🔥 ✅ Main Course – Sea Bass, $64 Made from the tenderest part of the sea bass—hard to mess up and absolutely delicious! 🐟❤️ Final thoughts: A great seafood spot—must-try oysters! Good value for money, about 100–150 per person. Not the cheapest on the Strip, but way better than some overpriced, mediocre places! 💸👍 🚩 Blue Ribbon American Grill & Oyster Bar 3708 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109 Have you been here?
