Vegas Gem That Beats Seattle โ SK Seafood (Cantonese Cuisine) ๐ฅข
The first spot Iโm sharing is SK Seafood โ not a viral hotspot, but a true local favorite among Cantonese food lovers. It was so good we ate there twice! The auntie server even recognized us and said, โYouโre back again!โ ๐ Must-tries: ๐ฆ Pirate-Style Lobster โ $35/lb. We ordered just over 2 lbs for two people (~$100+). Great value! ๐ฅฌ Garlic Pea Shoots โ A must-order! Wok-fried with amazing wok hei โ who knew greens could be this good? ๐ Clams in Black Bean Sauce โ Small portion but super flavorful and perfect with rice. ๐ Salt & Pepper Cod โ They do salt & pepper everything here (wings, ribs, squid, etc.). Personally, steamed cod might be even better! ๐ซ Tofu & Seafood Casserole โ Lots of tofu. Ask for chili sauce to dip โ goes great with rice. ๐ Salted Fish & Eggplant Hotpot โ I usually donโt like eggplant, but I ate so much of this โ so savory and rice-friendly! If I lived in Vegas long-term, this would be my go-to spot. ๐ โค๏ธ Second Pick: Italian โ Ferraroโs Ristorante ๐ฎ๐น As an Italian food fan, I chose this spot from many in Vegas โ it has some of the highest ratings on Google & Yelp. ๐ Bread basket โ Choose between rolls or focaccia (or both!). Served with olive oil and pesto dip โ a delicious combo Iโd never tried before! ๐ฅ Insalata Mimmo โ Tomatoes, avocado, cheese, balsamic, olive oil โ fresh and tasty. ๐ Spaghetti Scoglio (seafood pasta) โ The pasta was slightly al dente, but the flavor was still amazing! The server kindly split our appetizer and pasta into two servings โ so thoughtful! We also tried: ๐ Pollo Limone โ Lemon grilled chicken breast ๐ฅ Truffle Purรฉe โ Strong truffle flavor but a bit runny (would be better if thicker). The last two dishes were just okay โ but the first three were delicious! Third Spot: Wakuda โ A Try-Something-New Place ๐ฃ This restaurant holds two Michelin stars in Singapore. ๐ข Robata Skewers โ Chicken wings + short rib ๐ Fatty Tuna Tartare with Caviar โ Served with six lightly salted chips. Honestly, this would be perfect over a bowl of rice! ๐ ๐ฃ Toro Taku Roll โ Fatty tuna with scallions, shiso leaf, and pickles โ really good! ๐ฆ Duck on the Rock โ Served medium-rare on a hot stone (cook it to your liking) with pesto sauce.
