Vegas Michelin 🌟🌟🌟 Joël Robuchon | The "Good Woman" Restaurant

Disclaimer: Personal opinions only! TL;DR: A faded three-star experience. 😅 Eight years ago, I became obsessed with this place after watching Tokyo Girls Diagram. Since I couldn’t get a reservation in Japan, Vegas was the next best option—so I could finally treat my boyfriend to the "good woman" restaurant before he turned thirty. 🎉💑 First, a whole trolley of bread was rolled out—pick whatever you like! 🍞✨ The first appetizer was their iconic "money dish": lobster consommé gelée with caviar. It was good, but maybe my expectations were too high because of its legendary status. 🦞🍯 Next, an artichoke base with some mousse and incredibly rich foie gras. The foie was delicious, but the rest... a bit confusing. 🍃😶 Scallop carpaccio with radishes and some mysterious green sauce—flavor was decent though. 🐚🌿 Creamy asparagus soup with bamboo shoot aroma and mashed potatoes underneath. Never had asparagus soup like this before—unique! 🥣💚 Then, white asparagus topped with lobster ravioli and truffle sauce. Not bad, but not mind-blowing. 🍝🤷‍♀️ Main courses: Cod with coconut milk—tasted like teriyaki, served with bok choy and super crispy roasted veggies. 🐟🥥 Duck breast with beet sauce—the duck itself was excellent. 🦆❤️ Beef ribeye—tender, but just... steak. Nothing surprising. 🥩😐 Desserts: Rhubarb sorbet—tangy and refreshing! Never thought rhubarb could make such a nice ice cream. 🍧💕 Black forest cherry dessert served in a cute cocoa pod-shaped plate. My boyfriend got a substitute (cherry allergy), which reminded me of a similar dessert at LA’s Kato. 🍒🍫 Finally, a dessert trolley! Macarons, lollipops, chocolates—all adorable and delicious. The sweets definitely made me happy. 🎂😋 Overall, great service, but the dishes lacked creativity—felt like they were just following the classic recipe book. No surprises, good or bad. As a 3-star, they checked all the boxes: gave us menus, farewell desserts... but the dress code shocked me! Everyone was super formal—women in evening gowns, men in suits (in May Vegas!). 👗🤵 We had the full course + two drinks, totaling $1500. The 5-course express menu might be more budget-friendly. If I can book the one in Japan someday, I’d still like to try the original "good woman" restaurant. ✈️🍴 #LasVegas #JoëlRobuchon #Michelin3Star #FineDining #FoodReview #VegasEats
