Versailles Palace Travel Guide 🏰

Versailles Palace was the final stop on my Paris trip, and I’d give it a five-star recommendation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. As a royal residence, Versailles truly lives up to its reputation. The luxurious, grandiose design and opulent style leave a lasting impression. If you don’t visit Versailles, you can’t fully grasp the extravagant lives of the aristocracy. 🚇 Transportation: Take the C line of the Paris metro. Since it’s in the suburbs, make sure to buy a €4.10 ticket, otherwise, you’ll be fined when you arrive. You can check out my pinned post 🔝 for more details. Alternatively, you can book a car with a tour group through platforms like Ctrip or Fliggy, take a taxi, or just choose based on your budget. 📝 Reservations: Versailles is a super popular attraction, so make sure to book in advance! It’s strict—they check upon entry. I used my museum pass and booked directly on the official museum website: https://www.parismuseumpass.fr/. Switch to your preferred language in the upper right, scroll down to the bottom right for reservations. You can see all the museums included in the pass, those that need reservations, and those that don’t. 🎫 Museum Pass: There are options for 2-day, 4-day, or 6-day passes, covering almost all major museums in Paris. It’s worth it—visit a few museums and the pass pays for itself quickly. Students under 26 with an EU residence permit can get free tickets (🎫 for those over 26, this doesn’t apply). The pass does not include the Royal Gardens, which cost €10. The gardens are huge and feature a fountain show—if you’re interested, it’s worth a look. No reservation needed for the gardens. 🎭 Versailles Performances: It’s said that until September 21, there are performances every Sunday with people dressed in Rococo costumes, dancing, operas, fencing shows, and in the evening, fireworks 🎆 and colored fountains ⛲️. Unfortunately, I missed it, so sad! #TravelTheWorld #VersaillesPalace #SeeTheWorld #CulturalLandmarks #TravelTips #DailyJoys
