Vietnam: I prefer the chaotic Hanoi much more than Ho Chi Minh City
✅ About Entry and Exit I’ve entered Vietnam 🇻🇳 three times without encountering any requests for bribes. When leaving from Nha Trang, I did experience a request for a tip, but I firmly refused. I encourage everyone to not give in to such requests—although the amount may be small, it's unfair and discriminatory. Stand up against unfair treatment towards China 🇨🇳 by saying no 🙅🏻♂️. ⭕️ Visa: To save money, apply for an e-visa yourself; it's $25 for the visa on arrival. If you prefer convenience, use Taobao for a sticker visa. ✅ Must-Visit Spots in Hanoi 2️⃣ Long Bien Train Station A suburban train station built by the French, next to the Long Bien Bridge, known as the "Eiffel Tower of Railways," which has been in use for over 100 years. Not recommended: Serein Cafe & Lounge—it’s 3-4 times the price of regular cafes, and the view isn’t much different from what you can see from the station. 3️⃣ St. Joseph Cathedral 4️⃣ Turtle Tower, Hoan Kiem Lake ✅ 6 Recommended Cafes and Restaurants 1️⃣ Quán Ăn Ngon (Vietnamese cuisine; reservation recommended for groups) 2️⃣ Kem Trứng Bà Khanh 3️⃣ Highlands Coffee (Hanoi's sacred shop)—Vietnam's version of a Starbucks chain. The one by West Lake is perfect for photos and relaxation. #SoutheastAsiaTravel #MyHiddenGemsTravelGuide #WorldTravel #VisaFreeTravelTips #VisaOnArrivalGuide #SpringTrips #SlowTravelInSmallTowns #TravelGuideEditorial #Vietnam #VietnamTravel #Hanoi #HanoiTravel #VietnamVisa #HanoiCafeHopping
