Flew from Richmond, Canada to Richmond, Virginia—spanned 3 time zones but landed in a city steeped in history and a completely different vibe! 🌎✈️ Day 1: Richmond 🎨 Visited the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts 🖼️ Caught the special Frida Kahlo exhibition 🌺 Though the collection was compact, classic self-portraits and fruit series were highlights 🍉👩🎨 The replica of the Blue House (Casa Azul) at the end instantly brought back memories from my trip to Mexico five years ago 💙🏡 Day 2: Newport News ⚓ The NAUTICUS Maritime Museum is totally worth a visit! 👍 Tried the high-tech ship simulator + toured an actual warship 🛳️🎮 Ended the day with a breezy evening stroll along Virginia Beach 🌊👣—so relaxing~ Day 3: Williamsburg 🏛️ Arrived during graduation season 🎓—the town was buzzing with energy 🎉 William & Mary College’s red-brick campus blended history and youth perfectly 🧱🌳 Staff in period costumes throughout the old town made it feel like stepping into the 18th century 👘🕰️ Day 4: Jamestown & Yorktown 🍃 The two quieter towns of Virginia’s Historic Triangle—perfect for slow exploration 🚶♀️📿 Drove along the James River with plenty of scenic stops 🚗💨 A kind local grandpa recommended a hidden path at Neck of Land—short trail full of peace, beauty, and fresh air 👴🍃✨ #VirginiaRoadTrip #HistoricTriangle #RichmondVA #Williamsburg #TravelUSA #NewportNews #Jamestown #Yorktown
