Virginia Beach Travel Guideο½A Romantic Sunrise on the North Atlantic
Spent the long weekend on a spontaneous trip to Virginia Beach β definitely a place Iβd love to revisit! π π¨ Where We Stayed Since it was a last-minute trip during a holiday weekend, almost all oceanfront hotels were fully booked. Luckily, we grabbed one of the last available rooms! π If youβre visiting, I highly recommend staying at an oceanfront hotel β waking up to sea views right from your window is just unbeatable ππ π Things to Do Virginia Beach offers tons of activities: fishing, parasailing, jet skiing, dolphin watching, sunrise viewing, and more! We only had one full day, so we chose sunrise watching and fishing. π Sunrise on the Beach Waking up early for the sunrise was totally worth it! The sand had just been smoothed by a big cleaning vehicle β so soft underfoot. Even though it was a bit cloudy, we still captured some stunning photos πΈβ¨ π£ Fishing Trip with Dockside We booked a fishing tour with Dockside β $45 per person online. We chose the 1-4 PM slot. No fishing experience or license needed! The crew helps with everything. After docking, they clean your catch, but be prepared to wait β only one person handles the fish! πβ³ Pro tip: Rush off the boat to queue early, or come back later. You can take your cleaned fish to their restaurant to be fried β super fresh and delicious! π΄ Evening Fun: Group Biking & Neptune Festival After fishing, we rested and then rented a 4-person bike in the evening β so much fun! We rode along the beach to see the King Neptune statue πΏπ There was a music festival going on β the whole strip was lively! Bike rental: $40/hour (return to the same spot). π¦ Food & Dining 1οΈβ£ Orionβs Roof Located on a hotel rooftop β reserve early! We got a 10:30 PM slot, so the ocean was dark, but the moonlight over the water was magical β¨ The fish dishes were fresh but fairly standard. Great for the view! 2οΈβ£ Dockside Seafood The same spot where we had our fish cooked! Mostly fried seafood β we ordered a feast π¦ Highlights: soft-shell crab (ask for it β itβs not on the menu!), snow crab legs, and super fresh scallops! 3οΈβ£ Mahiβs A sushi and seafood spot. We went for a late-night snack and tried their sushi β absolutely mind-blowing! π£π₯ Their special rolls are a must-try. 4οΈβ£ Waterman Surfside Grille Popular brunch place β overall decent, but their cinnamon roll was unforgettable! I donβt even like cinnamon usually, but this one had me craving more π―π§ #VirginiaBeachEats #VirginiaBeach #FoodRecommendations
