Virginia Beach Travel Guide|A Romantic Sunrise Over the North Atlantic

We took a spontaneous trip over the long weekend 🚗💨, and Virginia Beach did not disappoint! It’s one of those places you’d love to visit again. 🏨 Accommodation Since it was a last-minute plan during a holiday weekend, almost all oceanfront hotels were fully booked 🏖️😅. Luckily, we managed to grab the last two available rooms! If you’re visiting, I highly recommend staying at an oceanfront hotel—waking up to the sea right outside your window is absolutely soothing 🌊💙. 🏄🏻 Things to Do Virginia Beach offers plenty of activities: fishing, parasailing, jet skiing, dolphin watching, and of course, sunrise gazing! With only one full day to explore, we chose sunrise viewing and fishing. 🌅 Sunrise: Totally worth waking up early for! The sand had just been smoothed by a big cleaning truck 🚛🏝️, making it extra soft underfoot. Even though it was a bit cloudy, we still captured stunning photos 📸✨. 🎣 Fishing: We booked with Dockside—$45 per person online. We chose the 1-4 PM slot. No fishing experience or license needed! The crew assists with everything. ⚠️ Pro tip: Once the boat docks, rush to get your fish processed—there’s only one person doing it, and the line gets long! You can either wait or come back later. They’ll clean and prepare your catch, and you can have it fried at their restaurant. Fresh and delicious! 🐟🍤 After fishing, we relaxed a bit and then tried the 4-person surrey bikes! 🚲💨 Renting one was $40/hour—we rode along the vibrant strip, saw the King Neptune statue 🏛️🌊, and enjoyed the live music from the oceanfront festival. So much fun! 🦞 Food & Drinks 🍽️ Orion’s Roof: Located on a hotel rooftop—reserve early for a sea view! We booked late (10:30 PM), so it was dark, but the moonlight over the ocean was magical 🌙🌊. The fish dishes were fresh but not mind-blowing. Go for the view! 🍤 Dockside Seafood: All fried seafood—we overordered! 😋 Highlights: soft-shell crab (ask for it—it’s not on the menu!), snow crab legs, and scallops. Super fresh! 🍣 Mahi’s: A sushi and seafood spot. We went for a late-night snack and tried their sushi—absolutely incredible! Each piece was a delight. Highly recommend! 🥞 Waterman Surfside Grille: A well-rated brunch place. Solid food, but their cinnamon roll?! 😍 I don’t even like cinnamon usually, but this one… I’m still dreaming about it! ✨ Final Thoughts: Virginia Beach is perfect for a short getaway—relaxing, fun, and full of good food. Can’t wait to go back! #VirginiaBeach #TravelGuide #SunriseLover #SeafoodFoodie #BeachVibes #SpontaneousTrip #EastCoastTravel
