A spontaneous long-weekend trip that turned into a place I’d love to revisit! 🌊 🏨 Where to Stay We were lucky to snag the last two rooms during the holiday rush! Oceanfront hotels are a must — waking up to ocean views and falling asleep to the sound of waves is pure bliss. 🏄🏻 Things to Do 1️⃣ North Atlantic Sunrise Absolutely worth waking up for! The morning sand is freshly groomed by beach vehicles — so soft underfoot. Even on cloudy days, the photos turn out magical. Golden light + deep blue waves = instant wallpaper material! 2️⃣ Deep Sea Fishing 🎣 Book with Dockside (tickets $45/person online). We chose the 1-4 PM slot — no fishing experience or license needed! Crew assists with everything. Pro tip: Rush off the boat after docking to avoid long lines for fish cleaning (only one staff member handles it!). Get your catch fried at their restaurant — fresh and delicious! 3️⃣ Group Biking & Nightlife Rented a 4-person bike ($40/hour) along the vibrant strip — rode to the King Neptune statue and joined the music festival crowds! Return the bike to the same rental spot. 🦞 Food Highlights 1️⃣ Orion‘s Roof Rooftop hotel restaurant — reserve early for ocean views! We got a 10:30 PM slot (only moonlit seas 😅). Four types of fish — fresh but average. Go for the ambiance! 2️⃣ Dockside Seafood Post-fishing feast! All fried seafood — recommended: soft-shell crab (ask off-menu), snow crab legs, and scallops. Portions are huge — four of us couldn’t finish! 3️⃣ Mahi's Late-night sushi spot — unexpectedly exceptional! Especially their à la carte sushi selections. 4️⃣ Waterman Surfside Grille Popular brunch spot — solid but not spectacular. Except for the cinnamon roll — even non-cinnamon-lovers would crave it! ✨ Why I’d Return: Perfect blend of adventure (fishing, sunrise) and chill (biking, seafood feasts).
