Visit the World's No.001 Museum: Louisiana Museum of Modern Art

Must-Visit in 🇩🇰 Copenhagen | Louisiana Museum of Modern Art! 🌿 Who says Denmark is just for layovers? While Denmark may not have the dramatic landscapes of Norway or Iceland, it is a paradise for museum enthusiasts and niche art lovers! 😄 The healing power of Danish museums ❤️ Copenhagen is a city with a high aesthetic value. If you love art, beautiful scenery, and Nordic minimalism, then the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is definitely worth a visit! It's on my must-see list for Copenhagen. 📝 🚄 **Transportation**: It takes about 40 minutes by train from the central station to Humlebæk St. Look for trains heading towards Helsingør on the information screen at the station. Upon arrival at Humlebæk St., follow the blue signs for Louisiana Museum and walk for about 15 minutes. 🚂 🎫 **Tickets**: We purchased the 48-hour CPH CARD, which includes admission to this museum and transportation within zones 1-99 (the train ride is covered by the CPH CARD). 🎫 ⏰ **Opening Hours**: The museum stays open until 8 PM on certain days, so you can start your visit in the afternoon. However, the outdoor art installations are not visible after dark. It is recommended to allocate 4-5 hours in total, including round-trip transportation and touring time. ⏰ 📚 The museum houses over 4,000 pieces of art, including works by Alberto Giacometti, Asger Jorn, Yves Klein, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Anselm Kiefer, Georg Baselitz, and Yayoi Kusama. 🖼️ Although other major art museums may have collections of similar scale, there is no other heavyweight museum with such a unique setting by the sea and mountains. The architecture itself is a work of art. 🏰 The museum is built around a 19th-century villa from the 1870s. Instead of transforming it into a palace-style museum, the architects chose to integrate the building into the natural landscape, creating a garden-like exhibition route that allows visitors to enjoy nature while viewing the art. From 1958 to 1991, the museum underwent seven expansions, making it one of Denmark's most beloved museums. 🌳 💎 Glass corridors, 🌿 sculpture gardens, 🔭 sea-view platforms, and stunning views of the Øresund Strait—every snapshot is an Instagram-worthy masterpiece. 📷 🎨 In the mezzanine gallery with a large glass facade overlooking the water, you can see Giacometti's slender bronze figures. 🌍 In the sculpture courtyard, the dappled sunlight filters through the trees, casting shadows on the planet-like sculptures. 🍷 The lawn outside the restaurant extends toward the sea, with Calder's sculptures resembling wind chimes. 🌊 A diving board invites you to step closer to the ocean... forgetting the main building itself, and instead appreciating the carefully curated moments. 👍 📍 **Special Tip**: Be sure to visit the outdoor areas first to avoid missing out on the scenery after dark. 🌇 🍽️ **Louisiana Café**: The museum's own café offers a terrace with a panoramic view of the sea, making for a truly relaxing experience. ☕️ #NordicTravel #MuseumLover #ArtLover #TravelPlanner #CustomTravel #MuseumLover
