Visited a High-Value Michelin Star Spot In San Francisco… Thoughts? 🤔

To celebrate my birthday, Mr. X (shoutout to Yang Blader 😉) took me to the newly starred Michelin restaurant — 7 Adams. Located on Sutter St in SF near Japantown, the space is cozy and modestly decorated, with a dim, intimate atmosphere enhanced by small Flos Bellhop lamps on each table… We opted for the 7-course menu. Honestly, I felt the flavors leaned salty, and besides the lettuce salad, nothing really stood out to me. The ravioli skin seemed undercooked and a bit doughy. We mentioned it to the staff, and the manager promptly came over to ask if we’d like it remade — but since we weren’t particularly into the dish, we declined. They kindly offered us a complimentary cake later, though. The total for two, including drinks and tip, came to around $400. Many have called this spot great value for a Michelin star… but what do you think? 😅 While the food didn’t fully win me over, the service was thoughtful — almost everyone who stopped by our table asked who’s celebrating and wished me a happy birthday 🥳, plus a cute little birthday dessert. The emotional touch? Definitely there. #100RestaurantsChallenge #BeautifulMeals #BayAreaEats #FoodDiary #SFMichelin #BayAreaLife #WeekendInTheBay #BayAreaFoodie
