Visiting a Thai Restaurant in LA ππΉπ
Ruen Pair Went at 7pm on a weekday and waited about 15 minutes in line. Parking fee: $3. πΈ My friend and I were super hungry, so we ordered two rice dishes. (We only remembered to take photos after a few bites! π ) β Braised Pork Knuckle Rice π·π This is their signature dish. The pork knuckle was incredibly tender and melted in the mouth. But personally, I found the flavor just okay β not as fragrant as the pork knuckle rice back home. π‘β¨ β Crab Meat Rice π¦π The taste was very fresh, and there was a decent amount of crab meat. But it was quite salty with a strong sea salt flavor β maybe thatβs the authentic style? ππ§ β Shrimp Cakes π€ Also a popular item β very springy and bouncy in texture. But they were too greasy. There were 4 pieces in one order, and after just one each, my friend and I were already chugging down tea! π΅π« We didnβt order the Tom Yum soup this time because my friend had it on a previous visit β heard itβs pretty good! ππ² Overall, it was an okay experience. If youβre looking for Thai food in LA, you can give it a try! π P.S. Why are all the staff in the restaurant women? Is it a Thai custom? π©π³π€ #LA #LAFood #ThaiRestaurant #ThaiCuisine #ThaiFoodLA #LADining #FoodReview #EatingInLA #PorkKnuckleRice #CrabRice #ShrimpCake #TomYum #AsianFoodLA
