Visiting Mori Art Museum: A Comprehensive Guide ✨
1️⃣ Our Ecology Exhibition: I visited the "Our Ecology" exhibition, which was a special 20th-anniversary show at Mori Art Museum (the exhibition ended on March 31, 2024). 🍃There's plenty to say about it, but I'll leave that for another time. If you missed it, you can check out the photos I took. 2️⃣ For Night View Enthusiasts: If you're only there for the night view, it might not be worth it, as not every exhibition hall has large windows suitable for viewing the cityscape. It's a good idea to search for tips in advance or ask at the ticket counter which exhibition offers the best city view. 🍃 After exiting the 53rd-floor exhibition area, there's a café and a small souvenir shop (named Tokyo City View, which is different from the one on the 3rd floor). 🌺 Before the café area, there's a circular glass section where you can enjoy the free aerial night view. 3️⃣ Better Night View Option: For a better night view, head to the attached observation deck (Rooftop Sky Deck). 🌺Unfortunately, the day I visited, the observation deck was closed for maintenance, which was a bit disappointing. 4️⃣ Late-Night Opening: If you miss other museums' closing times, don't forget Mori Art Museum—it stays open until 22:00! (Great for night owls) However, note that ⚠️ it closes at 17:00 on Tuesdays, so you won't be able to enjoy the night view then. 5️⃣ From the 53rd Floor to the 3rd Floor: After taking the elevator down to the 3rd floor, you'll find a larger souvenir shop. This shop is definitely worth exploring! 🌟 It features a wide range of items related to well-known contemporary artists like Yoshitomo Nara and Yayoi Kusama, as well as other uniquely designed items. 🌇🌿 The prices are much more affordable compared to online stores! (In China, Nara's merchandise can be quite expensive, but here, the variety is impressive and the prices are reasonable. You can really splurge) It's perfect for souvenirs and, in my opinion, much more interesting than the typical souvenirs you find in Asakusa. 🌇🌿 #Tokyo #MoriArtMuseum #NightView #SouvenirShopping
