Visiting the Godzilla Landmark in Shinjuku π¦
How could you visit Shinjuku without seeing this life-sized Godzilla! π’π It has to be said that the design is incredibly creative. Just a head and part of the hand create the dynamic illusion that the entire Godzilla is lurking behind the building, ready to attack. πΈπΊThe real thing is massive and truly awe-inspiring! π When I arrived at the base of the building, I discovered it was Toho's cinema. On the second floor, they sell official merchandise, including Godzilla vinyl figures and soft vinyls. π’π There are also collectibles and programs for other movies being screened. Both Ghidorah and Godzilla had cinema-limited editions, but unfortunately, Ghidorah was sold out. πΈπΊ Godzilla items were still available for purchase. You can also pick up free movie flyers at the cinema. ποΈ Back on the first floor, following the signs led me inside Hotel Gracery. π’π Unfortunately, the terrace is closed due to a previous incident, so you can't get close to Godzilla's head. πΈπΊHowever, you can still visit the eighth floor, where there is a massive 1/1 Godzilla special effects scene. It's clear a lot of effort went into its creation, with a high level of detail that makes you feel like you're on the set. π’π A must-see for special effects fans! The hotel lobby also displays and sells some Godzilla merchandise. Finally, standing by the window, you can still get a sense of Godzilla's immense size from a distance. π πΈπΊ #Japan π #Shinjuku π #Godzilla π¦
