Visiting the Statue of Liberty in New York
๐ Pedestal Visit: You can enter the pedestal for a visit, but you need to book tickets in advance; tickets are not available on the island. ๐ข๐Inside the pedestal, there are exhibitions. After the visit, you can climb the stairs or take the elevator to the top of the pedestal, which is 27 meters high, to get a distant view of Manhattan. ๐โจ ๐ Crown Visit: If you're not afraid of climbing stairs (162 steps/no elevator/no air conditioning), you can also enter the crown of the statue for a view. However, the tickets are highly sought-after and need to be booked three months in advance to ensure availability. ๐ข๐The crown's 7 rays represent the world's 7 oceans and 7 continents. Inside the crown, there are 25 small windows for viewing the scenery, and only mobile phones/cameras are allowed. ๐ A view of the Statue of Liberty from the sea on the ferry. ๐ข๐ The appearance of the ferry heading to the Statue of Liberty. Almost everyone who gets to the island will first walk around it and then take a photo facing the Statue of Liberty, and I was no exception.
