Washington D.C. → Orlando

This is a slightly belated travelogue from my 2025 May Day holiday trip to the United States. It was a bit of a "special forces" style free-and-easy tour, all done without a rental car. Here's the whirlwind recap: 🗽 Day 1: New York City Sights: Hit the iconic spots right away—the neon glow of Times Square and the sprawling greenery of Central Park. A classic NYC introduction. 🏛️ Day 2: Washington D.C. Travel: Hopped on a train from NYC to D.C. Sights: Soaked in the political heart of America with visits to the White House and the magnificent Capitol Building. 🏰 Day 3-5: Orlando Theme Park Blitz Disney World: In a feat of pure stamina, I "special-forced" my way through all four Disney parks in a single day! 🪖 Among them, Animal Kingdom stood out as absolutely fantastic—the immersion and wildlife were incredible. Universal Studios: Spent a day tackling the thrills of Universal. Winter Park: Took a half-day to relax and wander through the charming, upscale streets of Winter Park, a nice contrast to the park chaos. 🗽 Day 6: Back to New York Sights: Explored the architectural marvel of the Brooklyn Bridge and the financial hub of Wall Street. 🍽️ Food Highlight: Stumbled upon an incredibly delicious and aesthetically pleasing Thai restaurant called "Nemesis" (Picture 9). It was a true culinary gem! 🍜 💭 A Journey of the Heart: Reflections This trip was more than just sightseeing for me. At the time, I was suffering from immense pressure and unfair treatment at work. This journey, with its drastic time zone changes, felt like a desperate, redemptive escape from my reality. The happiness I felt was intense but fleeting. As soon as the holiday ended, the joy was quickly extinguished by a new wave of overwhelming work. But looking back now, I realize: "The light boat has passed ten thousand mountains." 🚤⛰️ I made it through that difficult time. Flipping through the photo album today, I can still vividly recall those moments of happiness and peace from the trip. It reminds me to be grateful for the journey. Here's to wishing myself—and everyone—the courage and means to always have the option to "run away," even if just for a little while. To love the world more, to love life more, and most importantly, to love myself more. Fearless & take it easy! ✨❤️ #US #Florida #Orlando
