Water's Soul Sculpture in New York | Art of Light, Soul of Water
The Water's Soul sculpture is located on the historic banks of the Hudson River in New Jersey, USA, where a recently completed reconstruction has taken place. ππΏThis massive sculpture, with its powerful visual impact, speaks volumes in the city. Standing at approximately 80 feet tall, 41 feet long, and 28 feet wide, it can be clearly seen from both the New York and New Jersey shores at night. ππΏThe developers, LeFrak and Simon, commissioned the renowned artist Jaume Plensa to create this thought-provoking white statue, as he has the unique ability to convey hope for humanity's future. Crafted from polyester resin, fiberglass, and marble powder, the sculpture depicts a lady with her eyes closed, placing a finger to her lips, embodying a state of quiet contemplation and serene introspection. π ππΏThis is the first public art installation in the community created by an international artist. Designer Plensa, who was in charge of the sculpture, said that water is a wonderful metaphor. A single drop of water is very lonely, like a single person. But when countless drops come together, they form tides, rivers, and oceans. ππΏ Similarly, individuals gather to create communities, exchange ideas, and in doing so, possess an incredible power that can change everything. π #LightingDesign #Sculpture ππΏ
