Waterloo Battlefield
Waterloo is located to the south of Brussels, Belgium. The Battle of Waterloo (1815), the last battle of the Napoleonic Wars, took place here and is one of the world’s most famous battles. This battle ultimately led to the downfall of the First French Empire. Since then, a significant defeat has been referred to as a "Waterloo." Ticket Price: 17.5-23 euros (depending on off-peak/peak season and adult/student) 🚗 Transportation: 1-hour bus ride from Brussels 1. Lion’s Mound: A monument to the victory of the battle. The view is decent, and it looks quite spectacular from a distance. 2. Panoramic Painting 3. Museum & 4D Film: The film is quite good. There seems to be an APP for Chinese audio guides, but unfortunately, I didn’t download it. 4. Farm: You can take a shuttle bus there (there’s a stop). It’s 1.2 kilometers away. There’s no staff there, so you need to enter using the PIN code from your ticket. 🎈 Summary: I would recommend this place to those who are interested in that period of history. Otherwise, just viewing the Lion’s Mound from a distance might be enough.
